Chief Chia of the Pleasanton ISD Police Department and fellow officers have an exciting announcement on behalf of our district. They would like everyone to wish a warm welcome to Melo, PISD's own canine, and the newest member of our PISD Police Department! Melo will be used for the purpose of locating contraband. Melo is a non-bite dog, but our officers ask that people refrain from trying to pet Melo due to his training and role as an officer in their department. Melo will be wearing a PISD Police Department-issued vest and he will play a key role in keeping our schools safe and drug free.
