College, University, or Trade School

We want all students to leave Pleasanton High School with some sort of preparedness for their next chapter. In an effort to accomplish this goal, we offer TSIA testing for students wanting to go on to college, certification programs for students wishing to go straight to work.

Ordering transcripts and documents to send to colleges or technical schools

Seniors and parents, please read this information carefully.  Below are links to order documents that colleges or technical schools may be requesting for admissions decisions or registration.  Please be aware that even if you order items now to send to your institution, you may still have to order some of them again after graduation.

High School Final Transcript—In May, seniors will be required to fill out several online forms before graduation.  One of these forms will be where the final high school transcript should be sent.  If attending college or technical school, the final transcript should be sent to that institution. If the student is not planning to go to college or technical school in the fall, their final transcript should be requested for pickup at the high school in June or mailed to their home.  Final transcripts will be ready the 3rd week in June.

Dual Credit Transcripts—Even though students’ dual credit courses are posted to their high school transcript, colleges will still need the student’s college transcript for courses taken while in high school.  If the college or technical school where you will attend is asking for your dual credit transcripts now, order them now and send them.  However, if you are currently enrolled in dual credit courses, you will need to order them again in May and send them again when your spring course is complete.

What Is the TSI Assessment?

The TSI Assessment (TSIA) is part of the Texas Success Initiative program designed to help your college or university determine if you are ready for college-level course work in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. If you are an incoming college student in Texas, you are required to take the TSI Assessment - unless you are already exempt (see your counselor) - to determine your readiness for college-level work. Based on how you perform, you may either be enrolled in a college-level course and/or be placed in the appropriate developmental course or intervention to improve your skills and prepare you for success in college-level courses.

  • Students can send TSIA exam results to universities

  • PHS tests during the school year

  • The cost for re-testers is $5.00 per section you are re-taking

  • Check with Ms. Garza about testing dates and access to practice materials!
