Talking Book Program
The Talking Book Program (TBP) offers students with reading disabilities - such as dyslexia - a variety of reading materials, from Pre-K to young adult. Digital audiobooks allow students to read the latest bestseller or a classic book needed for a classroom assignment.
Qualified students can apply to the free program.

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is the oldest organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. It is also committed to providing complete information and services to address full scope of dyslexia and related reading and writing challenges.
LD Online
LD OnLine is the leading website on learing disabilities, learning disorders and differences. Parents and teachers of learning disabled children will find authoritative guidance on attention deficit disorder, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dysnomia, reading difficulties, speech and related disorders.
Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity
The Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity (YDDC) is the preeminent source of cutting edge research, informed advocacy and trustworthy resources to help those with dyslexia reach their full potential. The Center's tools and resources are used widely by parents, educators and those with dyslexia to advocate for greater recognition and support for dyslexia children and adults. YCBC builds awareness in all students, including low-income students of color, through policies that help dyslexic children succeed. The Center also showcases the remarkable success stories of adults with dyslexia, including writers, scientists, celebrities, and government and business leaders.

Tea's Dyslexia Website
The State Board of Education (SBOE) on November 16, 2018, gave final approval to updates to The Dyslexia Handbook—2018 Update: Procedures Concerning Dyslexia and Related Disorders (Dyslexia Handbook). The updates address recent legislative changes and clarify processes regarding identification and services for students, including students with dysgraphia. The updated Dyslexia Handbook is effective immediately.
Texas Dyslexia Technology Plan
Region 10 houses the State lead for dyslexia providing state assistance to districts, charter schools, universities, parents, service centers, and other entities in the area of dyslexia. The Committee on Technology Integration for Students with Dyslexia was charged with developing a plan for integrating technology into the classroom to help accommodate students with dyslexia.

TEA Designated Supports Available for STAAR, STAAR Spanish, and TELPAS
This guide provides parents with a general overview of the designated supports that are available for use on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) and the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS). Designated supports are accommodations that change the way a student accesses an assessment, without changing the content being assessed.
