Attendance at a Glance
Regular and punctual attendance is the greatest single factor in school success. Pleasanton ISD is committed to supporting the students of Pleasanton by working collaboratively with parents and community stakeholders in removing barriers that hinder student attendance and yielding access to district resources that positively impact student achievement. The key to high school graduation is strong school attendance and parental involvement.
Texas Compulsory Attendance Law requires students to attend school regularly, unless otherwise exempted by law. Proper documentation must be provided by the student and/or the parent/guardian within 3 school days of the student’s return to school after an absence (see Pleasanton ISD’s Parent & Student Handbook) for the complete attendance policy.
The information below is intended to explain state and district policies on student attendance.
