The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) program includes annual assessments for:

Grades 3–8 in reading and mathematics
Grade 5 & 8 in science;
Grade 8 in social studies; and
End-of-course (EOC) assessments for English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology and U.S History.

Pleasanton ISD uses these state assessments as ONE of many formative measures in our work to ensure all students are academically prepared for post-graduate success. Each campus, regularly monitors student progress and provides targeted interventions to ensure every student has the best possible opportunity to succeed.
