Congratulations to PHS students Ryan Kallio, Sara Villarreal, Alvaro Sanchez, Micahel Lister and Marlene Cooper! Earlier this month these students were among 18 PHS band students that competed at the ATSSB Region 11 Jazz Band Auditions. Of those who auditioned, 5 students earned a spot in the Region Jazz Band and 5 students were placed as alternates. These students advanced to the Area level and recorded auditions that will be judged in November, with potential to advance to State! #PridePride

SAT School Day for seniors only will be Wednesday, October 16th. See flyer for additional information and have your senior sign up! SAT is FREE for first time testers and $41 for students who would like to retake the test. Students must sign-up and submit payment (if applicable) by Monday, September 23rd.

The 2024 PHS Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, October 12th from 7:00pm-11:00pm in the PHS Cafeteria. Tickets will not be sold the night of the dance at the door. Tickets are $20 (cash only) and can be purchased in the library starting Monday, September 23rd. This dance is open to Pleasanton High School students only. Please see Mrs. Moos or Mrs. Lozano in the library or call 830-569-1257 if you have any questions.

Hey Eagle fans! We are excited to announce our first ever most spirited fan contest will be held at our Community Tailgate Party before the rivalry game against Jourdanton on Friday, September 13th. The fan showing the most eagle pride will be given the honor of leading the Eagles through the tunnel onto the field to kickoff the night. Anyone wishing to participate must check-in at the PISD table by 6:00PM to enter. The winner will be notified by 6:30PM. Show your Eagle pride by wearing your best green and white gear! Get creative and be ready to show up and show out! #PridePride

Congratulations to 15 PHS students who earned academic honors from @CollegeBoard National Recognition Program—confirmation of their hard work that they can showcase to colleges. To be eligible for this honor, students must have PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment scores that are within the top 10% of assessment takers in each state for each award program or earned a score of 3 or higher on 2 or more AP Exams by the end of 10th grade. Each of these students were recognized as a National Rural Scholar, National Hispanic American/Latino Scholar or National First-Generation College Student Scholar. The first pep rally for the 2024-2025 year is this Friday, August 30th at 3:20pm in the Athletic Complex! Parents are welcome to attend! All parents/visitors must enter through the front doors and check-in in the lobby to recieve a visitor's pass. Please make sure to bring your valid government issued ID or drivers license. Doors will open at 2:45pm! Pep rally will be live streamed for those that cannot attend. Please call 830-569-1250 if you have any questions or concerns.

Mark your calendars for our first ever PISD Tailgate Party! We will kick off the much anticipated Jourdanton vs. Pleasanton football game with some games, snacks, food trucks and door prizes. Join us from 5:00-7:00 pm on Jolly Street between the Jr. High and football field for some pre-game family fun. This Title 1 event is free and open to the public.
