Congratulations to the Mr. Townsend's junior and senior students who earned their American Welding Society (AWS) certification. This is an industry based certification recognized in the welding field and these students are now credentialed to begin their welding careers. Pictured left to right are Daryan Castilleja, Josh Ramirez, Kaydin Olle, Austin Dinscore, Preston Pilgrim, Edward Castillo, James Garcia, Jerry Chessher, David Martinez, Logan Gonzales, Ezekiel Gonzalez, Gary Pena, Dylan Olle, Mason Taylor, Renee Diaz and Ace Ingram. All of these students are completing the Applied Agricultural Engineering program of study at PHS. For a student to gain their certification they must be trained under specific lesson plans, provide a qualification weld test, and pass welded work based on AWS welding standard. Students must work under the direct supervision of a testing supervisor and submit their weld test as evidence of completion. Congratulations to all! #PridePride

PISD invites all parents and community members to attend "The Facts: A Parents Guide to the Risks Associated with Vapes and Fentanyl" presentation hosted by the Pleasanton ISD Police Department on Thursday, April 25th from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the high school cafeteria.

Pleasanton ISD district offices and campuses will be closed from Friday, March 31 - Monday, April 1 for Easter Break.

Erica Bernal is the CTE/CCMR Director for Pleasanton ISD. She was diagnosed with MDS in October of 2023 and is currently looking for a donor, as are so many other people. Please consider stopping by and registering to become a blood stem cell donor. It is a 6 minute process and only involves a cheek swab. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Reminder: PISD FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT! PISD Family Movie Night is on March 7 at the Pleasanton City Park Pavilion! The Sandlot will begin at 6:30 pm. Congratulations to Michael Cepeda and Michael Lister for earning a spot in the ATSSB All-State Band! Michael Cepeda is a 1st year all stater on Alto Clarinet and Michael Lister is a 1st year all stater on Euphonium. They each competed against 10-20 other students on their instrument and were the 1st chair and only student from our area to earn a spot in the All-State Band on their instrument. They will perform in the All-State Band at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio on February 10th.

Seniors who earn 24 college hours with Del Mar receive a senior dual credit yard sign. Paul plans to attend the University of Texas at Tyler in the fall. Congratulations Paul! #PridePride
